We had the best Easter season this year. Instead of focusing on the easter bunny we walked the last week of Christ's life. Each day we talked about what he did that day and then we tried to visit places that helped us to learn about it. Sunday Christ entered into Jerusalem so we watched the church videos of that and talked about what it meant for him to go there. Then we watched more videos of his life. Monday he cleansed the temple so we went to the LA temple and walked the grounds and spent time in the visitor's center. Tuesday He was questioned by those who were trying to accuse him so we watched all those videos. Wednesday we don't know what he did so we focused on all his teachings and watched a lot of videos of what He taught. Thursday was the last super so we had a candle lit dinner then we watched the video of the last supper. Friday he went to gethsemane then was crucified so we watched all those videos of what happened then we visited the grave of Scotty's grandma and grandpa. Saturday we discussed what he did for us by living and dying. Sunday He was resurrected to we watched the video of it and talked about what will happen to our bodies when we die thanks to our Savior. It was so spiritual and amazing!! We all found Easter to be different and focused on Christ. At one point I asked the boys how it made them feel to know that Christ did that for them. Asher said it makes him feel worth it. And he was right. We are all worth it!! I gave each kid a picture of Christ Easter morning that said "I am your Savior. I lived and died for you. Come to me and live again"!! I love our Savior and Easter to remind us of Him!
